How to Choose Your Focus Areas
Focus Areas help Gé Rén understand which parts of your life, timing, or personal concerns you would like us to prioritize in your BaZi analysis.
Each Gé Rén BaZi report includes four standard Focus Areas. Your selections help guide the emphasis of the written report so the analysis can be more relevant to the service you are ordering and the time period being reviewed.
You do not need to choose perfectly. Select the areas that feel most meaningful for your current questions, life stage, or the period you would like Gé Rén to analyze.
How Focus Areas Apply to Each Service
BaZi Natal Chart
For a BaZi Natal Chart reading, Focus Areas guide what Gé Rén emphasizes within your BaZi structure. This service looks at foundational patterns and longer-term life tendencies, so you may choose areas that reflect your broader life direction, personal structure, relationships, family patterns, resources, learning, or long-term development.
Major Luck Cycle
For a Major Luck Cycle reading, Focus Areas guide what Gé Rén emphasizes during the selected 10-year cycle. Choose areas that feel most relevant to that specific life stage. A younger-age cycle, career-building cycle, family-focused cycle, or later-life cycle may each call for different priorities.
Annual Luck
For an Annual Luck reading, Focus Areas guide what Gé Rén emphasizes during the selected year. Choose areas that are most relevant to the calendar year you want Gé Rén to analyze. This may be an upcoming year, the current year, or another specific year that is meaningful to you.
Focus Area Descriptions
Health
Examines the inherent strengths and vulnerabilities of different areas of the body, together with changes that may arise during the relevant period. It highlights areas that may deserve closer attention as a reference for proactive health management.
Wealth
Examines your inherent wealth potential and financial stability, together with circumstances that may strengthen, weaken, or otherwise affect these conditions during the relevant period. It highlights financial timing that may deserve greater attention as a reference for money planning.
Relationships
Examines your inherent relationship patterns, personal appeal, opportunities to meet compatible people, and how potential relationships may develop. It also considers whether the relevant period may bring romantic attention, admirers, or connections with meaningful potential.
Family
Examines your inherent family circumstances, including the potential for care and companionship, forming a family of your own, and developing a sense of belonging. It also considers the underlying conditions for maintaining family bonds through different stages of life, together with opportunities or challenges that may arise during the relevant period.
Children
Examines the inherent strength of your connection with children, together with likely relationship and interaction patterns. It also considers the stages when this connection may become more prominent, as a reference for future family considerations and maintaining parent-child relationships.
Male Partner
Examines the general qualities of a current or future male partner, the strength of the connection, and the likely relationship dynamics. It also considers developments, changes, or areas that may deserve attention in relation to the partner and the relationship during the relevant period.
Female Partner
Examines the general qualities of a current or future female partner, the strength of the connection, and the likely relationship dynamics. It also considers developments, changes, or areas that may deserve attention in relation to the partner and the relationship during the relevant period.
Desires / Needs
Examines relational, emotional, inner, and material desires during the relevant period, together with the range and intensity of personal needs. It can support greater self-awareness and may also help guardians better understand the needs of younger people.
Academics
Examines inherent academic potential and learning abilities, including comprehension, critical thinking, research, and the ability to connect and apply knowledge. It also considers how these abilities may be expressed during the relevant period and how they may influence academic achievement, further study, and future direction.
Accident Risks
Examines whether there may be an inherent susceptibility to accidental harm and considers adverse influences that may arise during the relevant period. It is intended to encourage appropriate precautions, while recognizing that actual risk and consequences are also shaped by personal behaviour, attitude, and choices.
Legal Risks
Examines whether there may be an inherent tendency toward interpersonal trouble, disputes, conflict, or legal complications. Depending on the service selected, it also considers how these risks may change during the relevant period, helping you remain alert, reduce avoidable conflict, and respond with greater care.
Other
Choose “Other” for a specific topic not covered by the options above. As a custom topic may require additional interpretation or a different analytical approach, it is treated as one extra Focus Area.
Extra Focus Areas
Four standard Focus Areas are included with each Gé Rén BaZi report. If you would like Gé Rén to include additional Focus Areas beyond the four included areas, extra Focus Areas may be added during the intake process.
For single-service orders, each extra Focus Area is $60 CAD. For package orders, extra Focus Areas are charged based on the number of reports included in the package.

If you are unsure which Focus Areas to choose, select the areas that feel most relevant to your current question, life stage, or the time period being analyzed. Your choices help guide the emphasis of the report, but Gé Rén will still review the full context of your chart and timing.
